Catholic elementary and secondary schools throughout the United States join annually to promote our Catholic Schools. This week is a time to celebrate the value of Catholic Schools and their contribution to American society. The theme of this year's National Campaign is "Dividends for Life." We have planned the following activities for our school community: Sun. Jan. 31: Celebrate Faith in our Parish
We are asking our students to wear their school uniform to Mass in their home parish. We hope that all students are proud to attend St. Margaret Mary School and feel privileged to be able to show that pride in their school. If students do wear their uniforms to Mass, they will be able to have free dress on their uniform to Mass, they will be able to have free dress on Tuesday, Feb. 9th. Please write a note to your child's teacher indicating they wore their uniform to Mass. The note must be sent to school on Mon. Feb. 1st in order for your child to be eligible for free dress. Mon. Feb. 1: Celebrate Faith in our Parents
All parents are invited to attend Mass at 8:15. Students must wear FULL DRESS UNIFORM. Seventh grade will help organize this Mass. Parents and grandparents are invited to picnic with their children. Meet your child(ren) at the lunch area at 12:00. Bring blankets, chairs, and of course, food. Happy Lunch will NOT be available on this day. We will have the same lunch time for all students so you may enjoy lunch with all your children at the same time. Lunch will be 12:00-1:00. In case of rain, we will picnic in the Hall. (Please pray for sunshine!!)
Tues. Feb. 2: Celebrate Faith in our Students
Students will be able to wear Free Dress. Please remind your child to follow the school's free dress regulations.
Wed. Feb. 3: Celebrate Faith in our School
Students and Staff may have Free Dress. We will spruce up the school. We are asking for donations of flowers and potting soil. If you'd like to help us, please send supplies to the office. Student Council will be in charge of this planting project. Thurs. Feb. 4: Celebrate Faith in our Teachers and Staff
We are asking each student and parent to write a letter of appreciation to their child/children's teacher and staff. Don't forget our special Art, Computer, Library, and PE teachers. Also our aides, extended care, office staff, and lunch ladies work hard for our students. Letters should be sent to the office by Mon. Feb 1. We will get the letters to the proper person. There will be a staff luncheon from 12:00 -1:00. We will need volunteers for lunch duty on this day. If you would like to volunteer your time so the whole staff may eat together, please call the office. We really appreciate having the opportunity to have lunch as an entire staff. Fri., Feb. 5.
